Position Title: Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to help patients recover from injuries, surgeries, or medical conditions. The PTA assists in implementing treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and restoring physical function.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in carrying out individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and mobility training
Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising PT
Apply modalities such as heat, ice, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation
Educate patients on home exercise programs
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
Ensure a safe and clean therapy environment

Required Qualifications:

Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Active PTA license
CPR/BLS certification
Strong understanding of rehabilitation techniques
Good communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills:

Orthopedic or outpatient rehab experience
Knowledge of therapeutic modalities
Patient motivation and engagement skills
