We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in a long-term care setting. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care, promote mobility, and enhance the quality of life for residents in skilled nursing or assisted living environments.
Assist in implementing individualized therapy plans designed by the Physical Therapist
Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility interventions
Monitor and document patient progress toward treatment goals
Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, and caregivers to coordinate care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with facility and state guidelines
Educate patients and families on mobility techniques and safety precautions
Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
Participate in team meetings, care planning sessions, and outcome reporting
Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current PTA license in the state of practice (required)
1+ year of experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred
CPR certification
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
Familiarity with EMR systems and rehab documentation standards
