Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Speech Therapist to join our team in providing comprehensive speech and language therapy services to patients of all ages. The Speech Therapist will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with communication and swallowing disorders to improve their overall quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct evaluations to determine the communication or swallowing impairment of each patient
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment findings
- Provide therapy sessions in a variety of settings, including individual and group sessions
- Document patient progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate with other healthcare professionals as needed
- Educate and involve family members in the treatment process to ensure continuity of care
- Stay current on best practices and advancements in the field of speech therapy through continuing education and professional development
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Experience working with individuals with various communication and swallowing disorders is preferred
