Speech Therapist in Odessa,Texas Job Description: Are you a licensed Speech Therapist with a passion for helping others? We are seeking a highly motivated Speech Therapist to join our team in Odessa, TX 79765. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Speech Therapy plans of care for facility residents and short-term patients. You will work closely with interdisciplinary team members to communicate progress and any barriers towards SLP goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for completing timely Speech therapy documentation in compliance with regulatory, licensing, facility, and payor requirements. You will also provide patient, family, and caregiver training regarding each speech therapy patient's specific plan of care and recommendations for follow-up. Responsibilities: Develop and implement Speech Therapy plan of care for facility residents and short-term patients. Assist with patient screens for Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy. Communicate progress and any barriers toward SLP goals with interdisciplinary team members. Complete timely Speech therapy documentation in compliance with regulatory, licensing, facility, and payor requirements. Assist with maintaining both the rehab gym equipment and treatment area in a safe manner. Provide and document patient, family, and caregiver training regarding each speech therapy patient's specific plan of care and recommendations for follow-up. Adhere to facility and company policies and procedures. Maintain productivity standards set by DOR and administrator. Requirements: Current Texas licensure as a Speech Therapist. ASHA certified. Current CPR certification preferred. Experience working in a long-term care setting is a plus.
