Job Summary:
Our healthcare facility is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in King City, CA. The occupational therapist will be responsible for assisting and helping patients with physical, mental, and emotional difficulties, and enable them to lead independent and productive lives.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Develop patient treatment plans based on their medical history and lifestyle.
2. Help patients perform daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
3. Evaluate and identify patient’s physical, emotional, cognitive, and sensory abilities to determine their ability to perform daily activities and provide recommendations accordingly.
4. Provide a wide range of therapeutic techniques, including physical, cognitive, and behavioral therapies, to enhance patient’s functional abilities.
5. Document patients’ progress and treatment plans to ensure that they are meeting their therapy goals.
6. Educate patients and their families on specific occupational therapy programs and techniques.
7. Work alongside physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and develop a patient’s treatment plan.
8. Conduct analyzes of the impact of therapy interventions to promote improvement and make recommendations concerning the professional approaches.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor’s or master's degree in Occupational Therapy
2. Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of California
3. Experience in working with patients across the lifespan
4. Knowledge and expertise in Occupational therapy programs and techniques
5. Strong interpersonal skills
