Job Title: Physical Therapist (PT)
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapist (PT), you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments, injuries, or disabilities to promote their optimal functioning and improve their quality of life. You will work closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans and provide comprehensive rehabilitation services.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical condition, including their range of motion, strength, flexibility, and balance
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that target patients' specific impairments or disabilities
- Use a variety of techniques, such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation) to promote patients' recovery and improve their physical function
- Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes
- Educate patients and their families about prevention strategies and home exercise programs to maintain their gains and prevent recurrence of their conditions
- Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with healthcare regulations and standards
Qualifications and Skills:
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice
- Strong knowledge of manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, and modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and thorough documentation
