Job Summary:
The Speech Therapist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating speech and communication disorders in patients across all age groups. The primary goal of the Speech Therapist is to help patients enhance their communication abilities and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with speech and language disorders.
2. Provide specialized therapy and exercises to enhance speech production, fluency, and language skills.
3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide interdisciplinary care to patients.
4. Conduct evaluations and assessments, and maintain documentation of patient progress.
5. Provide counseling and education to patients and families on speech therapy processes and outcomes.
6. Develop and implement home-based programs to enhance patient recovery.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in speech therapy.
8. Attend conferences, workshops, and seminars to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
2. Must hold a valid state license to practice as a Speech Therapist.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work independently or as part of a healthcare team.
5. Experience working with patients across all age groups, from infants to elderly.
6. Ability to conduct assessments, diagnose, and develop treatment plans.
7. Ability to document patient progress and maintain records.
8. Knowledge of different therapies and strategies to address speech and communication disorders.
