Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to help patients recover from injuries and illnesses. The PTA will be responsible for implementing rehabilitation plans, providing hands-on therapy, and tracking patient progress.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in evaluating and implementing treatment plans
- Provide manual therapy and therapeutic exercise to patients
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Assist patients with therapeutic equipment
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to continue at home
- Maintain accurate patient records and document progress
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- State licensure and certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and exercise physiology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Compassion and empathy towards patients
