Job Title: Physical Therapist (PT)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team. As a Physical Therapist, you will work closely with patients to help them regain physical mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall quality of life. You will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing personalized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to promote functional independence and recovery.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' medical history and physical conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans.
2. Develop customized treatment programs based on assessment findings and individual patient goals.
3. Administer various physical therapy techniques, exercises, and modalities to improve strength, mobility, balance, and coordination.
4. Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to maximize outcomes.
5. Educate patients and their families about therapeutic exercises, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
6. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to coordinate patient care and ensure effective interdisciplinary treatment.
7. Maintain accurate and organized patient records, documenting treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes.
8. Stay updated on the latest advancements in physical therapy practices and protocols.
9. Adhere to legal and ethical guidelines while providing patient care.
10. Ensure a safe and clean environment within the clinic, utilizing proper infection control procedures and equipment maintenance.
11. Participate in professional development opportunities and engage in continuing education to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
12. Supervise and provide guidance to Physical Therapy Assistants and support staff.
13. Promote the profession by participating in community outreach programs and educating the public about the benefits of physical therapy.
14. Effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and caregivers to establish trust and maintain open lines of communication.
15. Contribute to departmental meetings and assist in program development and evaluation.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
2. Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
3. Proven experience in assessing, diagnosing, and creating effective treatment plans for various musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions.
4. Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
5. Excellent manual dexterity and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to effectively analyze, problem-solve, and adapt treatment plans as needed.
7. Proficient in using technology, including electronic medical record systems and therapeutic equipment.
8. Strong communication and patient education skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. CPR certification.
11. Physical stamina and endurance to meet the demands of the job.
12. Compassionate nature and genuine desire to help others.
