Job Title: Physical Therapist (PT)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our healthcare team. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with various musculoskeletal injuries or conditions, focusing on improving their physical abilities and relieving pain. You will work closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans, monitor their progress, and provide necessary guidance and education. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong passion for helping others, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' conditions to determine their physical limitations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Design and implement appropriate therapeutic exercises and interventions to promote the restoration of physical function, reduce pain, and prevent disability
- Use specialized equipment and techniques to provide manual therapy, including mobilization and manipulation of joints and soft tissues
- Instruct patients on proper body mechanics and exercises for self-care and prevention of future injuries
- Evaluate patients' progress regularly and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to provide integrated patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in the field of physical therapy and attend relevant workshops or conferences
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and practicing within legal requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Prior experience in a clinical setting, preferably specializing in orthopedics or sports medicine
- Exceptional knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and formulating treatment plans
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina to carry out therapy techniques
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in electronic health record systems
