Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate and treat patients who may have physical, cognitive, or emotional disabilities, helping them regain independence and improve their daily lives. Through personalized treatment plans, you will utilize therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and assistive devices to help patients adapt and participate in their chosen activities and occupations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical, cognitive, emotional, and functional abilities.

- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patients' specific goals.

- Utilize therapeutic interventions and modalities, such as therapeutic exercise, neurorehabilitation, manual therapy, and sensory integration techniques to enhance patients' functional performance.

- Teach patients and their families/caregivers techniques for improving independence, safety, and activities of daily living.

- Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

- Assist patients in developing or improving skills necessary for job-related tasks or vocational activities.

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and psychologists, to coordinate patient care.

- Provide education to patients, families, and the community on injury prevention, stress management, and healthy lifestyle practices.

- Stay updated on the latest research, advancements, and evidence-based practices within the occupational therapy field.

- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational institution.

- Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state where employed.

- Proven experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a clinical or medical setting.

- In-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and common conditions affecting occupational performance.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

- Ability to effectively assess patients' needs, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress.

- Proficient in using assessment tools, therapeutic modalities, and assistive technology.

- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help patients achieve their highest level of functioning.

- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

- Willingness to stay updated on current research, best practices, and industry trends.

- Dedication to high ethical standards and proper patient care.
