Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide therapy services to patients. Your primary goal will be to help patients recover from injuries and illnesses, improve their mobility, and manage pain.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist in the implementation of treatment plans as directed by the physical therapist.
2. Monitor and report patient progress to the supervising physical therapist.
3. Instruct patients in exercises and activities that promote recovery and improve mobility.
4. Administer therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation under the direction of the physical therapist.
5. Assist with patient education and goal setting.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
2. Valid PTA license in the state of practice.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
5. Knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices.
6. CPR certification.
