Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will work alongside physical therapists to provide rehabilitative services to patients suffering from injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. Your role will be integral in helping patients regain mobility and manage pain through therapeutic exercises and hands-on techniques.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients.
2. Administer therapeutic exercises and treatments to improve patients' strength, range of motion, and mobility.
3. Monitor and document patient progress during treatment sessions.
4. Educate patients on proper techniques for performing exercises and activities.
5. Assist in setting up and maintaining equipment used during therapy sessions.
6. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
7. Adhere to legal and ethical standards in healthcare practice.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
2. Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
3. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
5. Ability to follow directions and adapt to changes in patient treatment plans.
6. Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and exercises.
7. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation techniques.
