Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients improve their ability to perform daily tasks and activities. You will play a crucial role in creating individualized treatment plans and providing hands-on therapy to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in the evaluation and assessment of patients' physical and cognitive abilities
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with the Occupational Therapist
- Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and independence
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for completing daily tasks and activities
- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- State licensure as required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
