Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team and assist in providing occupational therapy services to individuals in need. The COTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to deliver personalized care and support to patients to help improve their quality of life and facilitate their independence.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
2. Conduct therapeutic activities and exercises to help patients improve their physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.
3. Monitor and record patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist.
4. Provide support and guidance to patients and their families on home exercises and care.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective patient care.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
2. Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
3. State licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of practice.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
6. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
