Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients recover and improve their physical well-being. PTAs assist in executing treatment plans, performing exercises, and providing support to patients during therapy sessions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist the physical therapist in evaluating patients and developing treatment plans.
2. Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques.
3. Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities of daily living.
4. Monitor patients' progress and report back to the supervising physical therapist.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

7. Ensure a clean and safe treatment environment for patients.
8. Stay current on best practices in physical therapy through continuing education and professional development.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
2. Valid PTA license in the state of practice.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
5. Physical stamina and strength to assist patients with exercises and treatments.
6. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
7. Compassion and empathy for patients undergoing physical therapy.
