Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to work in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting. The PTA will work closely with patients to help them achieve their physical therapy goals and improve their overall quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct assessments of patient condition and develop individualized treatment plans
- Use therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities to help patients improve mobility and regain function
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Provide education to patients and their families on treatment plans and techniques
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in the provision of physical therapy services
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
- Prior experience working in a Long Term Care (LTC) facility preferred
- CPR certification
