Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of physical therapists to help patients recover from injuries, illnesses, or surgeries by providing them with therapeutic exercises and treatments. Your role is crucial in facilitating the rehabilitation process and improving the quality of life for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physical therapists in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans for patients
- Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities as prescribed by the supervising physical therapist
- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and home care instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and billing
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current license as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of practice
- CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and exercises
