Job Title: Speech Therapist (SLP)
Job Summary:
As a Speech Therapist (SLP), you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in patients of all ages. Your primary goal will be to help individuals improve their communication skills and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting evaluations to diagnose speech and language disorders
- Developing individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results
- Providing therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and communication skills
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and educators, to create a comprehensive treatment plan
- Monitoring progress and making adjustments to treatment plans as needed
- Educating patients and their families on exercises and techniques to practice outside of therapy sessions
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Compassion and empathy for patients and their families
