Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with respiratory disorders. You will work closely with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans, administer medications, and provide respiratory care to patients in a variety of healthcare settings.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing patient's respiratory status and providing appropriate therapies
- Administering medications and treatments such as oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and chest physiotherapy
- Monitoring and adjusting ventilator settings for patients on mechanical ventilation
- Educating patients and their families on respiratory conditions and treatment options
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare team members to develop comprehensive care plans
- Documenting patient progress and treatment outcomes
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Current CPR certification
- State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and procedures
