Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients regain movement and manage pain after injury or illness. PTAs assist with exercises, stretches, and other therapeutic techniques to improve mobility and strength.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist.
2. Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities with patients to help improve movement, strength, and flexibility.
3. Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
4. Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to continue at home.
5. Document patient progress and treatment sessions accurately.
6. Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling appointments and preparing treatment areas.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant program.
2. State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
5. Physical stamina and strength to assist patients with exercises and activities.
6. Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting patient progress.
