Job Title: OTA/COTA - Long Term Acute Care (LTAC)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team in a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting. The OTA/COTA will work collaboratively with the occupational therapist to provide rehabilitative services to patients with complex medical conditions in order to improve their functional independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in conducting patient evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of the occupational therapist
- Implement therapeutic interventions and activities to address patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges
- Monitor and document patient progress and communicate with the therapy team to adjust treatment plans as needed
- Provide education to patients and family members on adaptive techniques, equipment, and home exercise programs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Active state license or certification as an OTA/COTA
- Prior experience working in a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
