Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will be responsible for providing care and treatment to patients with breathing disorders and cardiopulmonary diseases. You will work closely with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans, administer medications, and monitor patients' progress. Your expertise in respiratory therapy will play a critical role in helping patients breathe easier and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess patients' respiratory conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
2. Administer medications and oxygen therapy as prescribed by physicians.
3. Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust treatment plans as needed.
4. Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management.
5. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
6. Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
8. Stay current on developments in respiratory therapy and participate in continuing education opportunities.
9. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of practice.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
2. Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
3. State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
4. BLS and ACLS certification.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
8. Compassionate and empathetic care for patients.
9. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
10. Proficiency in using respiratory therapy equipment and technology.
