Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Long Term Care (LTC)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in a Long Term Care (LTC) facility. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and increase strength through therapeutic exercises and treatments.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Assist with developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for residents.

2. Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities to improve range of motion, mobility, and strength.

3. Monitor and document patient progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist.

4. Provide education to patients and their families on home exercise programs and injury prevention.

5. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care for residents.

6. Adhere to all policies and procedures to maintain a safe and effective therapeutic environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

2. Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

3. CPR certification.

4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

6. Experience working in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting preferred.
