Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. You will work closely with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans to ensure optimal respiratory function for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct assessments and diagnostic tests to determine the appropriate course of treatment for patients
- Administer medications and treatments such as oxygen therapy, bronchodilators, and mechanical ventilation
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on proper breathing techniques and disease management
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Stay informed on advancements in respiratory therapy and participate in continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy (required); Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
