Job Summary:
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with breathing disorders and cardiopulmonary diseases. You will work closely with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans, provide respiratory care services, and educate patients on how to manage their condition. Your expertise in ventilator management, airway management, and patient assessment will be crucial in ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting patient assessments to determine treatment needs
- Administering respiratory treatments and medications
- Monitoring and evaluating patients' respiratory status
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Educating patients on how to manage their respiratory condition
- Providing emergency respiratory care when necessary
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participating in quality assurance and improvement activities
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certified as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with electronic medical records systems
