Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will be responsible for providing respiratory care services to patients with breathing disorders, under the direction of a physician. Your main duties will include assessing patients' respiratory needs, developing and implementing respiratory care plans, and monitoring patients' progress. You will also be responsible for administering treatments, managing ventilators, and educating patients and their families on respiratory health.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess patients' respiratory needs and develop individualized care plans
- Administer respiratory therapies and treatments as prescribed by a physician
- Monitor patients' responses to treatments and adjust care plans as needed
- Manage and operate ventilators and other respiratory equipment
- Educate patients and their families on the importance of respiratory health and proper treatment techniques
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Stay current on advances in respiratory care practices and technologies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
- Must hold a current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
