Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide patient care and support in various rehabilitation settings. You will assist with implementing treatment plans, conducting exercises, monitoring progress, and ensuring the well-being of patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work closely with Physical Therapists to develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Conduct therapeutic exercises with patients to improve strength, flexibility, and range of motion
- Assist patients with mobility and other physical activities to aid in their recovery
- Monitor and document patients' progress and report any concerns to the Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques for at-home care
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure equipment is properly maintained
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Active state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques
- Physical ability to assist patients with lifting, standing, and other movements
