Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. The RRT will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with respiratory disorders, providing respiratory care interventions, and educating patients on proper breathing techniques. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a strong knowledge of respiratory therapy principles and practices.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting patient assessments to determine respiratory therapy needs
- Developing and implementing respiratory care plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Administering medications and treatments to patients as prescribed
- Monitoring and evaluating patient responses to therapy
- Educating patients and their families on respiratory health and disease management
- Documenting patient care and treatment results accurately and timely
- Maintaining and calibrating respiratory therapy equipment
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with current state licensure
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
