Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for providing therapy services to improve patients' physical, mental, and emotional well-being. They work with individuals of all ages who have physical, mental, developmental, or emotional challenges that impact their daily functioning.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct assessments to determine patients' needs and create treatment plans
2. Work with patients to develop and improve their fine and gross motor skills
3. Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and techniques to perform daily activities
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
5. Monitor and evaluate patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
6. Provide education and support to patients and their families
7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress
8. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and trends in occupational therapy
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
2. Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
5. Experience working with patients of all ages and abilities
6. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
7. Ability to create and implement individualized treatment plans
