Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our healthcare team. The RRT will be responsible for providing respiratory care to patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. This includes assessing patients, developing treatment plans, administering medications, and providing education to patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting patient assessments to determine respiratory care needs
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Educating patients and their families on respiratory health and self-care techniques
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
- Adhering to all regulatory guidelines and standards of practice
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RRT certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in respiratory therapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and procedures
- CPR certification
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
