Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant - Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) specializing in Long Term Care (LTC), you will be responsible for providing physical therapy services to residents in long-term care facilities. Your primary goal will be to help residents regain mobility, strength, and independence through exercise, manual therapy, and other modalities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for residents
- Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
- Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate residents and their families about exercises and activities to improve mobility and function
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatment sessions and progress notes
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program
- Current PTA license in the state of practice
- Experience working with geriatric populations in a long-term care setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
