Job title: Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) - Rehab
Job Summary:
As a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) in the rehab setting, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with various speech and language disorders. You will work closely with other rehab professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans to help patients improve their communication skills and quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting assessments to determine the nature and severity of speech and language disorders
- Developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
- Implementing evidence-based therapy techniques to address speech and language deficits
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress throughout the course of treatment
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists and physical therapists, to optimize patient outcomes
- Providing education and support to patients and their families on communication strategies and techniques
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience working in a rehab setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
