Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Job Summary:
An Occupational Therapist (OT) works with patients to develop, improve, and maintain the skills needed to lead independent, productive, and satisfying lives. The primary goal of an OT is to help individuals overcome physical, mental, or emotional barriers that may be affecting their abilities to perform daily activities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct assessments to determine patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Assist patients in improving their abilities to perform various daily tasks such as self-care, work, and leisure activities
- Provide interventions to improve physical strength, coordination, and mobility
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Educate patients and their families on techniques to improve independence and quality of life
- Monitor patients' progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- State licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in occupational therapy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
