Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT) - Rehab
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehab team. The primary role of the OT will be to help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life through therapeutic interventions. The OT will work closely with patients to assess their needs, develop treatment plans, and provide hands-on therapy to help them reach their goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' goals and needs
- Provide hands-on therapy to improve patients' strength, coordination, and mobility
- Educate patients and their families on adaptive equipment, exercises, and techniques to support independence
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Document patient progress and modifications to treatment plans
- Stay current on advancements in occupational therapy practices and techniques
Qualifications and Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Certification by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) preferred
- Experience working in a rehabilitation setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
