Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) โ Home Health
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Home Health provides therapeutic services to patients in their homes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA assists in implementing treatment plans, improving mobility, strength, and quality of life for patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery.
Carry out physical therapy interventions as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist.
Educate patients and families on exercises and home care routines.
Ensure safety and compliance with treatment protocols in home environments.
Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and patient outcomes.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient goals.
Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
Prior experience in home health or rehabilitation setting preferred.
Excellent communication, observation, and documentation skills.
Compassionate approach and commitment to patient-centered care.
Home health settings โ travel to patientsโ residences required.
Flexible scheduling depending on patient needs.
