💼 Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Long Term Care (LTC) rehabilitation team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to assist residents in regaining mobility, strength, and independence. This role focuses on providing quality therapeutic care in a supportive and patient-centered long-term care environment.

✨ Key Responsibilities:

• Implement physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising PT.

• Assist residents with exercises, mobility training, and therapeutic activities.

• Monitor residents’ progress and communicate changes to the PT and care team.

• Educate residents and caregivers on safe mobility techniques and home exercise plans.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.

• Ensure a safe, comfortable, and motivating therapy environment.

• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members to support overall resident care.

🎓 Qualifications:

• Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

• Active state PTA license or certification.

• Experience in Long Term Care, Skilled Nursing, or Rehabilitation settings preferred.

• Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills.

• Basic knowledge of therapy equipment and adaptive devices.
