We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a dynamic Rehabilitation team. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. The role focuses on improving patients’ communication skills and quality of life through evidence-based therapeutic interventions in a rehab setting.
Evaluate patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide therapy for speech articulation, language development, voice, and fluency
Treat dysphagia and swallowing disorders safely
Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records
Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nursing staff
Educate patients and families on home care and therapy strategies
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
State license to practice as an SLP
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
Ability to work effectively in a rehabilitation environment
Experience in rehabilitation, acute care, or skilled nursing facility
Experience treating neurological, stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and post-surgical patients
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Rehabilitation hospital or therapy clinic
Interdisciplinary, patient-centered care team
