Job Description

✅ Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a dynamic Rehabilitation team. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. The role focuses on improving patients’ communication skills and quality of life through evidence-based therapeutic interventions in a rehab setting.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Provide therapy for speech articulation, language development, voice, and fluency

• Treat dysphagia and swallowing disorders safely

• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records

• Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nursing staff

• Educate patients and families on home care and therapy strategies

• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings

• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards

✅ Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

• State license to practice as an SLP

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

• Strong communication and clinical documentation skills

• Ability to work effectively in a rehabilitation environment

✅ Preferred Experience:

• Experience in rehabilitation, acute care, or skilled nursing facility

• Experience treating neurological, stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and post-surgical patients

• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems

✅ Work Environment:

• Rehabilitation hospital or therapy clinic
