Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Job Summary:
As an Occupational Therapist (OT), you will work with individuals who have physical, mental, developmental, or emotional disabilities to help them improve their ability to perform daily activities. You will evaluate clients' abilities and develop treatment plans to help them regain independence and enhance their quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities
2. Develop individualized treatment plans to address clients' needs and goals
3. Help clients improve their fine motor skills, coordination, and sensory processing
4. Teach clients adaptive techniques and equipment use to enhance independence
5. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, caregivers, and other team members to provide comprehensive care
6. Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of treatment sessions and progress
8. Stay current on best practices and trends in occupational therapy
9. Provide education and support to clients and their families
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
2. Licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Strong problem-solving abilities
5. Compassionate and empathetic demeanor
6. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
7. Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
8. Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive equipment
9. Strong organizational and time management skills
10. Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
