Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will be responsible for providing respiratory care services to patients with breathing difficulties or disorders. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans to improve patients' respiratory function and overall well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing patients' respiratory conditions and needs
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitoring and evaluating patients' response to therapy
- Educating patients and their families on respiratory care techniques
- Collaborating with medical staff to develop and implement treatment plans
- Performing diagnostic tests to assess lung function
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
- Responding to emergency situations as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Current state licensure
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and procedures
