Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our healthcare team. The RRT will be responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with breathing disorders or cardiopulmonary issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory therapy and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform assessments and diagnostic tests to determine patients' respiratory conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with respiratory issues
- Monitor and adjust mechanical ventilation devices for patients in critical care settings
- Educate patients on proper breathing techniques and respiratory equipment usage
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Maintain accurate medical records and document patient progress
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in respiratory therapy and new treatment options
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
