Job Summary:
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will be responsible for providing respiratory care services to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans to improve patients' respiratory function.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting assessments to determine patients' respiratory needs
- Administering respiratory treatments, medications, and therapies
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and oxygen levels
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop and implement treatment plans
- Educating patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment
- Performing diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis
- Responding to emergency situations and providing life-saving interventions
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of respiratory care equipment and techniques
