The International Physical Therapist (PT) provides rehabilitative care to patients abroad, helping restore function, improve mobility, and promote wellness through evidence-based physical therapy. This role involves adapting to diverse healthcare systems, cultures, and languages while maintaining high standards of patient care and professional ethics.
Assess, diagnose, and create treatment plans for patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, or cardiopulmonary conditions
Deliver individualized therapy sessions focused on restoring mobility, strength, and function
Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility aids, and injury prevention
Collaborate with international medical teams, interpreters, and support staff
Maintain documentation according to local healthcare regulations and global standards
Respect cultural differences and tailor interventions to local norms and patient preferences
Participate in training, community outreach, or global health initiatives (if applicable)
Bachelor's or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
Current PT license and eligible for licensure/registration in the host country
2+ years of clinical PT experience preferred
Strong adaptability, cultural sensitivity, and communication skills
CPR/BLS certification required
Multilingual skills or experience working in global settings is a plus
