Job Description

Job Summary:

The International Physical Therapist (PT) provides rehabilitative care to patients abroad, helping restore function, improve mobility, and promote wellness through evidence-based physical therapy. This role involves adapting to diverse healthcare systems, cultures, and languages while maintaining high standards of patient care and professional ethics.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and create treatment plans for patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, or cardiopulmonary conditions

  • Deliver individualized therapy sessions focused on restoring mobility, strength, and function

  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility aids, and injury prevention

  • Collaborate with international medical teams, interpreters, and support staff

  • Maintain documentation according to local healthcare regulations and global standards

  • Respect cultural differences and tailor interventions to local norms and patient preferences

  • Participate in training, community outreach, or global health initiatives (if applicable)


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution

  • Current PT license and eligible for licensure/registration in the host country

  • 2+ years of clinical PT experience preferred

  • Strong adaptability, cultural sensitivity, and communication skills

  • CPR/BLS certification required

  • Multilingual skills or experience working in global settings is a plus
